Course Details

  • Pre-requisite Knowledge: Basic/Intermediate - most accountants & analysts can't avoid at least some contact with Excel nowadays, so typically the delegate will already know a reasonable amount of Excel but will now be looking to learn a little more about some of its functions & formulae - you would probably require a more basic course if you weren't aware of the difference between a worksheet and a workbook for example - on the other hand the course is probably about right for you if you know about the SUM formula, but are perhaps less familiar with something like the SUBTOTAL or SUBSTITUTE formulae.

  • Course Outcomes: By the end of the course the delegate should be comfortable working with a range of advanced formulae & functions in Excel in their specific capacity as accountants or analysts - if they are not already considered to be an Excel superuser or champion in their own department or business, then this course should set them well along the way.

  • General Format of the Day: An Introduction followed by 12 separate sessions - each session will cover a separate topic (see below) - I will start each session with a 10-15 minute lecture on the relevant subject matter, and this is followed by 15-20 minutes of delegates working-through examples to consolidate and apply their knowledge under my personal supervision - the day starts at 9am and finishes at about 5.00pm with a buffet-style lunch provided.

  • Course Certificate: A Certificate of Achievement at The Excel Pro Course is a very desirable qualification, and each delegate is handed their own copy upon successful completion of the Course.
  •

  • Class Size: Sometimes the class is made-up of just 2 or 3 delegates. The maximum class size is 5, which I find is perfect for a number of reasons, not least the amount of time I can then dedicate to each delegate personally.

  • Course Pricing: The current fee for the course is all-inclusive at £240 per delegate. This is a massive saving of over 50% from the previous price of £495. I am not registered for VAT purposes. Click here to make a booking.
