Why Us?

TheExcelPro Course
Competitors (eg. Reed, Pitman)
Pricing
£240 - 50% reduction on usual price - I have far fewer overheads than the likes of Reed or Pitman, so I can afford to keep the cost of the course down
Average £420 - £480 or even more
Tutor
Financial Specialist - I am a Chartered Accountant with 20 years international expertise in advanced financial models & spreadsheets
Usually non-financial specialists eg. certified trainers rather than Chartered Accountants
Syllabus
Unique & Practical - Written with a practical edge by an expert with 20 years experience of advanced financial spreadsheets
Limited & Theoretical - Syllabuses are broadly theoretical and not specific to the Finance world
Manual
Unique & High Quality - comprehensive, TheExcelPro colour course manual is packed with hundreds of screenshots, practical tips & guidelines - 12 chapters & over 100 pages in length - not published or available for purchase elsewhere
Often not provided - or of inferior quality
Class Size
Max 5 delegates - this is perfect for a number of reasons, not least the amount of time I can then dedicate to each delegate personally
Up to 20 delegates - this leaves little time for truly productive one-to-one support
Class Length
1 day - Intensive one-day course for delegates with little time to spare from their busy work-schedules
2 to 3 days
Lunch
Included in course fee
Usually Not Included in course fee
Laptops
Included in course fee - all delegates must work through practice exercises which are pre-loaded onto their training laptops - in the opinion of many experts, Excel must be learnt 'hands-on'
Often not provided - delegates are often expected to bring along their own laptops with Excel on them, or are charged extra for their provision, or don't require one at all as 'hands-on' training is not a component of the course
Projector
Provided - Increasingly flat-screen large monitors are available at venues, but I always bring a high-quality projector along just in case
Often not provided - some trainers will not use a projector at all if, due to technical difficulties, they can not connect to the flat-screen
Venue
Offer both public & private courses at training venues or your offices
Usually only offer public courses at their training venues
Exercises
Practical & From Real Data - all delegates must spend over half the day working through practice exercises which are pre-loaded onto their training laptops
Often over-simplistic & Unrealistic - making application of any knowledge learnt harder when the delegate returns to the 'real world' at their workplace
